Huge thanks to everyone who joined us last night for the Estill County ATC Student Showcase!

Our students shared impressive work from across our career pathways, including Engineering, Welding, Manufacturing, Diesel Mechanics, Computer Science, and Health Science.

Their hands-on demonstrations and presentations highlighted the skills they’re building and the bright futures ahead. We’re proud of their hard work and grateful for the community support that helps make these opportunities possible!

Marching Engineers are Bands of America Semifinalists!

The Estill County Marching Engineers traveled to Indianapolis last week to compete in the Bands of America Grand Nationals Competition at Lucas Oil Stadium. With three full days of competition, and with hundreds of bands from 30 different states (even Alaska), this contest is marching band’s biggest national stage.

The Band performed on Thursday and turned in an amazing preliminary performance. On Friday evening, the preliminary awards took place and only the top 30 bands, plus class representatives, would advance to Semifinals on Saturday. As this list of the Nation’s best and biggest band were being called, the two words, “ESTILL COUNTY” echoed through Lucas Oil Stadium!! The Marching Engineers were named Semifinals and earned the opportunity to compete against the other Class A bands in Semifinals competition on Saturday.

Estill took the field on Saturday as the smallest band in the competition, but they made a huge impact on everyone in attendance. After the best performance of the season, the crowd rose to their feet to give those kids from Estill County Kentucky a Grand Nationals standing ovation! They represented our school and community with pride!

The Band placed 4th in the nation in Class A! There were a total of 30 Class A bands from eight different states in the overall competition. It goes without saying that this was no small feat and a tremendous achievement for our Band! Congratulations to the Marching Engineers on another amazing season!!

A tremendous thank you goes out to everyone who contributed, supported, or helped out this group in any way. As always, it is greatly appreciated.
