Things to remember about INTERNET and E-MAIL access:

  1. Third Party Email is a NO-NO!!!!!!!!
  2. So are CHAT ROOMS!!!  AND downloading any audio/music files. The use of Hotmail (or the like), Chatrooms, and downloading large audio files is considered by KDE to be a violation of  KDE system useage, and therefore violates the AUP you have signed.
  3. Chain letters and similar “e-mailings” are considered as harmful as viruses.  DON’T SEND THEM!!  Another AUP violation!
  4. School computers are provided for use with students/school-related work, especially during school hours.  Other use could be considered a violation of the AUP.

Other things to remember:

  1. Every piece of software running on the school machines MUST BE LICENSED!!!
  2. This means that no one should load “software from  home” or any other software not purchased or licensed for use on the specific computer or network.
  3. Copying software for which you do not have a license or loading it on to more machines than you have licenses for is in violation of  copyright laws.

***Please be sure to read and familiarize yourself with the specifics of the AUP (Acceptable Use Policy)and the agreement you signed.

YOU WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM.
